Hey BD--it strikes me as a "era bias issue" on my part, but I was struck by how many could answer easily...my problem is that even for shows I attended, 74-82, I never could think of it in this fashion (ie, "whoaaa...what a great first set!" or "hmmm, the second set rocked, but the first was a bit lacking").

Of course, I've admitted I am really bad at recall along these lines anyhow, for shows I attended, BUT I'd say it's even worse for shows I've come to love over the past five yrs (ie, I just don't think of them in these terms; first set vs second, etc...it's always the whole show vs another or minimally, some great jam that sticks out--which of course, is usu the second set). Again, might be early era bias (as noted above, many of my fav shows are "one disk wonders" in which it may have been a single set). In hand with this would be acoustic set shows in which you have two sets, which in essence, aren't comparable if that makes sense.

Anyhow, just rambling on to say I can't even participate given my lack of categorization along these lines, though clearly many folks do exactly this...just curious to me that I am in the minority on this. Hmmm--what else is new, eh?

Hope you had a good Turkey Day dude!

Did you attend 8-13-75 or listen to the live broadcast? That is one that should be on your list Tell. I know you have your early era bias, but I do not remember how you feel about 75.

I liked 75 the best, but probably for pers reasons; Jun and Sep were great, IMO, and Aug was great for the sound quality, but no, didn't get an invite (very select if I recall?).
